Big Bend Winnie-Tascas
 Newsletter April 2005

The Big Bend Winnie-Tascas members met April 19-24 at the Perry Georgia Agriculture Fairgrounds with the Georgia Winnebago State Rally. Those attending were: Margie Roberts, Carlos Bowers, Tom Holloman, Larry and Laverta Bishop, Bill and Evelyn McCall, George and Sue Daws. Larry and Laverta presented the banner they had made for the club. The banner is to be placed outside the President's unit during meetings and rallies. Everyone enjoyed all the great activities planned. We were fortunate to have a nice place to have breakfast, lunch and play cards across from our RVs thanks to Tom and his friends. We also enjoyed a restaurant named Priester’s nearby that served fantastic food and provided some great shopping. Saturday night a very good meal was served by the Yoder Minnonites restaurant. Music was provided by the Cavaliers orchestra. Veterans were honored during the night festivities.

For the May 15-18 campout at Cottonhill Corp. of Engineers, Fort Gaines, GA, Carlos/Margie will pick up some chicken tenders and fry them. Bill/Evelyn are the hosts.  Evelyn will contact the members about what other dishes to bring.  The June and July meetings will be held at the Sugarmill Campground, Ochlocknee, GA, north of Thomasville.  Laverta won the door prize, which was a water hose, given to us by our sponsor -- Harbison-Swanston of Holiday, FL .  The funds from our door prizes are our major fund raiser.  Thanks go to Mark and Ryan for all their help and the door prizes.

Barbara and Ray Phillip of Sopherton, GA joined us for a meal and card playing. We hope they will also join us at Cottonhill in May.
