W.I.T. Chapter of Excellence 2002, 2005, 2006

The Big Bend Winnie-Tascas are located in the
Tallahassee area of Florida

The Big Bend Winnie-Tascas were chartered on January 11, 1996.  We had no chapter in this area and decided that we would like to form one of our own.  The first organizational meeting was held January 6, 1996, at Tommy Allen's RV Business in Tallahassee, with Dick and Nancy Russell, our WIT Eastern Area Representatives, in attendance.  They also swore in the new officers at this time.  After our first meetings, we decided that our Chapter colors would be green and white.  One of our former members designed a beautiful emblem for the Chapter and is now worn on the back of our vests.

We want everyone to enjoy themselves.  We eat out, we pot-luck, and we have great "snacks" when we are visiting and socializing at our meetings.  Some of our camping activities include seeing places of interest in the areas we are camping;  indoor/outdoor games; playing dominoes and cards; attending rally's when possible, including GNR at Forest City, IA, and State rally's.  Our community projects and/or favorite charities are: Big Bend Hospice, Prader-Willi Foundation, Make a Wish Foundation, WIT Youth Group, and others.
