February 2004 Newsletter

 

 

Our meeting was held on February 9, 2004 at 11:00 a.m. at Sugarmill Campground in Georgia. Members present were Sue and George Daws, Bill and Evelyn McCall, Margie Roberts and Carlos Bowers, Jan and Buddy Marcoux, Larry and Laverta Bishop and Tom Holloman.

 

Vice President Larry presided. Sue opened with a prayer and the Pledge of Allegiance was given by the members. Wagonmaster Sue discussed our future meetings. March 10-16 will be the Winnie-Gators State Rally in Orlando. April 21-25 we are meeting in Perry, GA with the Georgia State Rally. May 16-18 the meeting will be at Cottonhill Corps. of Engineers Campground near Fort Gaines, GA. In August or September we will be going to the same campground near Franklin, NC that we enjoyed last summer to stay a week or longer. Larry won the prize of an electrical extension cord.

 

Sunday night everyone enjoyed snacks and visiting. Tom’s daughter furnished many delicious snacks even though she was too sick to join us. Tom also served his chili later that night. Monday we had some homemade soup for lunch. Tuesday everyone had lunch at the Farmer’s Market which is always a feast. George’s son Keith and Cheryl came for a visit at the campground. We all enjoyed playing “Chase the Ace” card game during our campout. Some of us had nice walks around the area.
