January 2003 Newsletter

Our January meeting was held at Carrabelle Palms RV Park in Carrabelle, FL. On January 10-12. Members present were Larry and Laverta Bishop who joined us for the day on Saturday, Sue and George Daws, Evelyn and Bill McCall, Margie Roberts, Marian Baumann, and Clarice Tyler. We were very pleased to have member Richard Smith and Lois Goode attending. Also former member Mary Britz came for the day on Saturday. Evelyn and Bill have an anniversary this month.

Wagonmaster Sue presented everyone with a copy of our 2003 Meeting Schedule. We will meet Jan. 31-Feb. 2 at Emerald Lake Campground, Donalsonville, GA. Friday night we will have soup and cornbread, Saturday morning breakfast is Clarice's specialty and lunch at a local restaurant on Saturday. We thank Sue for a great schedule for 2003.

There was a discussion of our March meeting in Orlando for the State Rally. Clarice is still trying to get in touch with Bob Sorensen, the President of the Florida Sunshine Winnies club, concerning our parking duties. Those planning to attend are Sue and George, Evelyn and Bill, Margie and Clarice.

The door prize of a white water hose donated to our club by our sponsor Harberson-Swanston of Holiday, FL was won by George Daws.

We are looking forward to a visit at Emerald Lake by our WIT Eastern Area Representatives John and Marlyn Fischer.
