Our meeting was held in June at the Eagles Roost Campground in Lake Park, GA. Members present were Laverta and Larry Bishop, Sue and George Daws, Tom Halloman, Evelyn and Bill McCall, Margie Roberts (guest Marian Baumann). Louise Bowen came for a visit on Friday. Clarice was unable to attend due to a fall but she is doing much better now.

Vice-President Larry led our meeting. Larry said a prayer followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Evelyn gave the treasurer's report. Members voted to give a donation of $50 to the homeless shelter in Tallahassee for the shelter’s emergency fund.

Everyone enjoyed eating at the local Farmhouse Restaurant twice, shopping at the outlet stores and Tom’s usual hotdog feast. Tom also brought some delicious Georgia peaches for everyone. Even though it rained some of the time, we all enjoyed ourselves.

Wagonmaster Sue gave a report on our meeting July 14-17 at Big Lagoon State Park in Pensacola, FL. Plans are to see an IMAX theatre featuring Naval movies, Foley, AL outlet mall, and the Naval Museum. There are also restaurants we plan to enjoy. Directions are: Go I-10 to Old Exit 2. Exit right, turn left on Pine Forest Road, right on Blue Angel Parkway, right on Sorrento Road and left on Bauer Rd. which will take you to Big Lagoon State Park on 12301 Gulf Beach Hwy. Telephone number is 850-492-1595. Reservations should be made at 1-800-326-3521. After the meeting the Daws, McCalls and Margie/Clarice made reservations for sites 1, 2 and 3.

The dates of our August meeting in Franklin, NC have been extended leaving on August 5 and returning on August 16. Some members will spend the first night at the campground at the Pottery in Commerce, GA. If you cannot attend the entire time, do come whenever you can.
