November 2003 Newsletter

 Our meeting was held at Eagles’ Roost Resort in Lake Park, GA. Members present were Sue and George Daws, Bill and Evelyn McCall, Margie Roberts, Clarice Tyler and Tom Holloman. Larry and LaVerta came for the day on Monday. Guests were Carlos Bowers, Junior Owen, Stulynn and Jim Simpson.

President Clarice began with a prayer. Bill led the pledge of allegiance. Margie read the minutes. Wagonmaster Sue discussed our next meeting which will be Dec. 15-18 at Sugarmill Campground near Thomasville, GA. The Daws will bring Brunswick Stew to be served Monday around 1:00. Tuesday lunch will be at the Farmer’s Market Restaurant. There will be a Christmas party with snacks Tuesday night. Each member should bring a gift to be exchanged with men bringing for men and women for women.

In Lake Park the Daws brought fresh grouper for a feast on Monday which was outstanding. Tuesday morning everyone joined for breakfast and that night had hotdogs. Wednesday we had lunch at a local restaurant. With shopping, playing cards and enjoying sitting outside, we had a busy campout. Tom’s friends Stulynn and Jim Simpson joined us over the weekend. They live in Lake Park and also shared a boat ride on their pontoon boat for some of the members. We enjoyed them showing us a new game called “Chasing the Ace” which was lots of fun.
