Caloosa Winnies
January 2004 Outing

The Caloosa Winnies started the New Year right at Tropical Palms RV Resort in Kissimmee, Florida on January 8-11, 2004. Eight units gathered "To do more in 2004."

New members, Jerry & Nancy Miller were welcomed into our group.  Number one on our list of "To do more in 2004" is to attract new members.  And new members, Jerry & Nancy jumped right in and offered to make phone calls to old members that have not been attending camp outs and to prospective new members.  I bet this is the first time a new member has volunteered to be New Membership Chairman.  Nancy comes with an advertising background that makes her well suited for the job.

We had a very competitive Bean Bag Baseball Tournament.  Men against the Women.  The Women made a valiant effort but ultimately lost to the Men.  The Men were awarded Blue Ribbons at the Saturday night Banquet.  Nancy Miller and Jane O'Neill were also rewarded ribbons as the Stars of the Women Team.

Free time was spent exploring, Celebration, the city that Disney built.  Shopping, flee marketing, and exploring in general.

Friday night at the Arabian Nights Dinner Theater fulfilled another point in our "To do more in 2004" plan.  The food was good and the show was great!  It deffinately made this camp out memorable!

Caloosa Winnies enjoy each others company and we sure enjoyed getting together for pitch-in-breakfast, donuts and coffee, happy hours, and playing cards.  Hey, a good time was had by all.
