Dick & Mikki Dodge - Short Bio Mikki was born in Glens Falls, NY and moved to Vermont in the early 70’s where she took a job at the University of Vermont in administration. She retired from the University in the summer of 2000. Dick was born in Vermont and other than four years in the Navy has lived there every since. After the four years in the Navy Dick took a job with IBM in Essex Junction VT in 1961 and worked there for 35 years as an electrical Engineer. He retired in the summer of 2000 as a Senior Engineer Manager on the same day as Mikki retired from UVM. They hit the road in their Winnebago about a week later and spent that first summer of retirement touring the South West in their second Itasca with friends who had purchased their first Itasca. Dick and Mikki have 3 children, two sons and a daughter and one grand daughter that all live in Essex Junction. You may have met the grand daughter Kendra at GNR in 2004 or 2005. The Dodges joined WIT in 1996 upon their purchase of a 96 Itasca Suncruiser from their local dealer in Vermont. After 2 years in the Lake Champlain WIT chapter Mikki became Wagon Master of the Northern New England WIT rally held in Vermont for the first time ever. The next year she moved on to become the President of the chapter while Dick served as Secretary for a couple of years. Dick and Mikki joined the WIT Tours staff in 2001 and have led, as Caravan or Rally hosts, or participated in a dozen WIT Tours events since that time. When John and Marlyn Fisher announced their retirement in the spring of 2005 Dick and Mikki were selected to become the new Eastern Area WIT representatives and started work for Winnebago in the fall of that year. They continue to own a house in Vermont where their daughter and granddaughter live and keep the home fires burning. The RV pad behind the house gets occasional visits as they pass thru the northeast in the summer. They also own an RV lot in The Great Outdoors in Titusville FL which sometimes becomes home base during the colder months of the year. All the states between VT and FL plus the eastern provinces of Canada may be their home away from home during various times of the year.
