Winnies The holiday spirit was clearly evident at the DuBol Winnies last campout for 2006. Sixteen coaches met in December at the Oaks ‘N Pines Campground in Lake City, Florida, to celebrate a great year of making new friends, greeting old friends and just lots of fun all around. The early Thursday arrivals set up camp, enjoyed Happy Hour and dinner at the Texas Road House. The card groups gathered on the evening and whenever the occasion warranted for the favorite game of Push Rummy. On Friday afternoon the artistically adapt met to make table decorations for the upcoming Saturday Christmas dinner. Later in the afternoon, Wayne and Judy Sapp hosted a Happy Hour wine and cheese party celebrating the purchase of their new Itasca Sunova. We wish them many memorable and safe travels in their beautiful coach. In spite of a turn towards COLD in the weather some members ventured out to the old Telford Inn in White Springs and/or Sonny’s BBQ for dinner and then regrouped for an evening game of Bingo. On Saturday morning the club met for breakfast followed by the regular business meeting. We welcomed guests and new members Raymond and Ferol Drust. The main event…the annual Christmas dinner was a huge success, with club members providing their potluck specialties and the ham provided by Sun Coast RV, the club’s sponsor. Joe & Judy Houghton played the roles of Santa and Mrs Claus distributing Christmas gifts to all. We especially enjoyed the attendance of Honorary members, Harold & Mary Ellen Curry, and George & Sue Wullaert and their daughter Lynn. Following breakfast on Sunday morning, we said our farewells, thanked our hosts, the club officers and Eddie & Louise Jones for hosting a wonderful campout, and wished all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
