February 2004 Outing

           Eleven rigs arrived on Friday, February 20, 2004 to begin a fabulous   weekend, at Sunlake RV Resort at Ruskin, Florida.  We needed three couples to host, because of the range of activities. Evelyn and Ted Meekma, Claire and Paul Madsen, Lois and Arnie Tackett, did an outstanding job.
          Friday we welcomed new members, Martha and Dave Harrocks and a happy to see you again to Anne and Dean Crewdson, and Helen and Ward Marlatt, after a long absence.
          Friday evening the group ventured out to “Danny Boys Restaurant” in Sun City. The menu was varied and each meal was cooked to perfection.
          Saturday morning after a delightful breakfast, of strata and fruit, the chapter meeting was held, and later the ladies proceeded to shop till they dropped, at Bealls.
          Saturday we played two exciting games of beanbag baseball, ending with very close scores.  Grilled hot dogs, beans and chips, were on the dinner menu.
          In the evening we played Candy Bingo where Helen and Ward were able to satisfy their sweet tooth in a big way.      
         Sunday morning we were served a continental breakfast of muffins, juice and coffee, followed by goodbye hugs, and best wishes to all till we meet at the Florida State Rally or at the Encore Park in April. We will remember the campout of February 20-22, 2004 for years to come.
