Our November Rally brought us to Stephen Foster State Park In White Springs, Florida.  We had 8 coaches who attended this rally, which was hosted by Neal & Jacky Kelly.  They did a great job in organizing and planning this rally.  To our great surprise George & Lynne Mcgee former members of our club were nearby it was great seeing them again.  We all arrived on Wednesday to set up and check out the place and the nearby towns of White Springs (not much there) and Lake City about 15 miles away.  That afternoon we sat around catching up on any news we might have.  Ned & Linda Evans, who had attended a previous rally asked to join our club they were greeted with warmth and gladly accepted, welcome Ned & Linda.
Thursday morning there were several booths set up in the park displaying different old crafts such as quilting, candy making and several others.  It was fun seeing how people did these things.  That afternoon we had an attitude adjustment in which our hosts Neal & Jackie made a snack (meal) of chilli, rice and bread as usual our club devoured it.  Since there was no clubhouse and it got dark early there was no playing cards this week.  It was sorely missed by all. Evening was spent on our own with no TV it was great communing with nature.
Friday morning we had our business meeting after which we were on our own to visit the craft displays again.  That evening we had an early pot luck supper after which we sat around chatting till dark.
Saturday morning we all met and talked for awhile afterwards we went on a tour of the museum and bell tower. The woman who gave the tour was great and we received a great deal of information about Stephen Foster and the whole park in general.  That afternoon the Music and dance festival began and we were on our own to explore and participate.
Sunday Morning our hosts had a continental breakfast of biscuits and gravy.   After about an hour of eating and chatting we began our usual hugs and goodbyes.  We wished each other a safe trip home and see you all next time.
