December 2006 Outing

By Frank Caccavo Sr.

Our December Rally brought us to Port St. Lucie R. V. Park in Port St. Lucie, Fl. We had a large group of 15 member coaches with 3 guest coaches. The guests were Bill & Joan Kraftchak, Norm & Annice Griswold and Norm & Lynn McGee. The McGee's later decided to join our club, a big welcome to them.

The rally was hosted by Stie & Dave Chofioles who did a great job rot the first time the hosted a rally on their own.

All of us arrived on Monday December 4,2006. After setting up some of us went to lunch to Bennigan's. Since this was the early day some of us came in later and missed lunch with the group. After lunch we were visited by Deputy Glenn Hoffman of the Crime Prevention Unit of the St. Lucie Sheriff's Dept. He gave a wonderful presentation on Identity theft and safety. There was a lively discussion and many questions, which were answered by this knowledgeable Deputy .Later that afternoon we had our attitude adjustment hour. We met our guests and chatted with our friends over snacks. That evening we went to Wahoo's on the water restaurant. They offered a varied menu and a good time was had by all.

Tuesday morning brought us time for more chatting and camaraderie. That day, for lunch, some of us went to Applebee's. The rest of the group kind of scattered to shop etc. That afternoon Dave Chonoles presented the games he has developed for review. We are hosting these games at the State Rally in March. He has done a remarkable job and we had a lot of fun trying them out. That evening we had a wonderful

pot luck supper. The group outdid themselves with many delicious treats we all enjoyed. After dinner and clean up
Sue Chonoles hosted our Christmas party. We all brought a unisex gift which were given out in an elaborate scheme of numbers. Later we all stood up and showed the group what we received. We all got into the Christmas spirit and a great time was had by all.

Wednesday morning we had our general meeting after which many of went to lunch at Harry & the Natives. After lunch many of us went to the Burt Reynolds Museum which was opened especially for us. It was great seeing the career of this older big star .There were videos and all kinds of memorabilia.

That evening many of us went to Conchy Joe's for a wonderful dinner with many laughs.

Thursday Morning we all met for a continental breakfast hosted by Sue & Dave Chonoles. We all sat around chatting and eating till it was time to wish each other a happy holiday season. We hugged and wished each other a safe trip home. See you all next year.
