SEASIDE WINNIES of FLORIDA

Our January Rally brought us to Citrus Valley R.V. Park in Clermont, Florida.  This rally was hosted by Steve & Marva Dreher who did a great job organizing and planning this event.  There were 9 coaches in attendance with Bill & Lea Ferman and George & Mary Foster both former members joining us.

All of us arrived early on Monday afternoon January 2, 2006 and began  setting up.  We had our usual attitude adjustment that afternoon catching up on what we have all been doing.  That evening we all traveled to Clermont Chinese Buffet.  Many of us enjoyed the unlimited supply of crab legs and other delicacies offered by the establishment.  There were 18 of us and we did make a commotion.  However, a good time was had by all.

Tuesday brought different activities for many of our members.  Many went to lunch at Crispers and then went to the President’s Hall of Fame with a video of Laura Bush  as the highlight of the tour.  Some of us went looking at new coaches.  You know some of us are never satisfied.  That afternoon we had a snack-less attitude adjustment due to the fact we were going to an early dinner at Salvatore’s.  The Italian restaurant was in an old church, which gave a strange sense of ambience.  There were 22 of us and we kind of took over the place.  The food was excellent and the  service superb.  We had a great time chatting and eating two qualities our club is tops in.  During the evening it we great to look around at the stained glass  and wondering what went on before.

Wednesday our hosts Steve & Marva Dreher decided to surprise us with a pancake & sausage breakfast with all the trimmings.  After breakfast we had our business meeting which filled the rest of the morning.  That afternoon many of us stayed in the Rec room and played domino’s and cards.  The winners of these games were given a  $25 gift certificate from our sponsor Sun Coast R.V.

That afternoon we left early (no attitude adjustment) for Diromio’s  Italian Restaurant for a great pizza party.  Our chapter is 20 years old this month and the board decided it would spring for a Pizza Party.  We had a great time sampling many different kinds of pizza.  Towards the end of the evening a cake was brought out made of cup cakes spelling out 20 years.  It was a novel idea and greatly appreciated by all.

Thursday morning our hosts, Steve & Marva , provided a continental breakfast.  We sat around chatting and getting ready to say goodbye.  After about an hour we began our hugs and goodbye’s.  Wishes for a safe trip home were extended to all.
