Suncoast Winnie-Gators April 2006 Outing Our Chapter meeting was held April 20–23rd, 2006 at Valdosta Lake Park KOA, Valdosta, Ga. We had a turn out of 24 coaches from our Suncoast Winnie-Gators chapter this weekend. Members attending were: Beckner, Bergsman, Blakeney, Brant, Busch, Cipolla, Davis, Franzen, Gest, Haynes, Maenner, McKay, Michielsen, Millard, Myers, Peterson, Porter, Schmittzeh, Sofarelli, Tuzzolo, Wacker, Wick, Wood (J), and Wood (W). The weather couldn’t have been more perfect with warm sunny days and cool evenings. Some members arrived early on Wednesday, anxious to start the fun filled weekend at the Suncoast Lake Park KOA. We all gathered for a social hour in the afternoon where we shared snacks and stories of our happenings since we last met. After Happy Hour we had a cookout and potluck dinner. Thursday started the weekend festivities that the Valdosta Lake Park KOA had planned for us… During the day many went shopping at the outlet malls, some played games and others just visited. That evening they had an opening party for all and what a party it was. Starting with a Happy Hour of Beer, Wine, Hors devours and later that evening a great band (Crossroads Band) who played great music to dance to. Friday started with a breakfast served up at the Music Hall. During the day there was a Tech Talk, Golf, more shopping, games, new coaches to look at and much more. After a full day of activities a dinner was served of Spaghetti & Meatballs, salad and dessert. After dinner the band once again entertained us with music to dance to. Many of our members danced the night away. Saturday started with a hearty breakfast of Scrambled eggs, Biscuits & Gravy and more. Today the men went to play golf and the women had a Red Hat Tea they attended where they made a beautiful hand decorated egg. There was also a game of Candy Bar Bingo for those who wanted a sweet treat of a game. Again that evening we had a delicious dinner. Chicken with all the fixins’ followed by an evening of dancing again. One thing for sure many of us got plenty of exercise dancing the weekend away. On Sunday there was a Continental breakfast of muffins, juice & coffee served by our hosts. After we said our good-byes, we went to pack up our rigs to head home…looking forward to our next exciting campout, which will be a state meeting at the Southern Palms RV Resort Eustis, Florida.
