Florida Suncoast Winnie-Gators April 2007 Outing Our Chapter meeting was held April 20–22nd, 2006 at Crystal Isle Encore Park, Crystal River, Fl. We had a turn out of 21 coaches from our Suncoast Winnie-Gators chapter this weekend. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect with warm sunny days and cool evenings. Some 5 members arrived early on Thursday, anxious to start the fun filled weekend at the Crystal Isle Encore Park. We gathered for a social hour in the afternoon where we shared stories of our happenings since we last met. Then the evening was pretty much on our own. Some went out to dinner in town. Friday the rest of our group started to arrive. We had a Happy Hour at 3:00pm and many brought wonderful snacks to share and there were many more stories of what’s been going on since we all last seen each other. Good food and fun times were had by all. After that many went out to eat and then later in the evening there was Bingo up at the clubhouse which several of our group attended. Saturday started with a hearty breakfast of Scrambled eggs, Biscuits & Gravy and more, which the park did for a small fee. The day was on our own and there were many activities for us to enjoy. Some went out on pontoon boats to watch for Manatee and other Florida wildlife while some just went out in smaller boats to explore the river and Gulf of Mexico. Some of the women went to the local flea market where they got many little treasures and still some others played games in the clubhouse. That afternoon we enjoyed a get together and had some good conversations about summer plans. The Porters, Michielsens and Cipollas hosted Saturday night dinner. They put on a great BBQ featuring BBQ Pork Sandwiches with Baked Beans and Cole Slaw. And for desert eclairs and cream puffs… YUM! On Sunday there was a Continental breakfast of Danishes, juice & coffee served by our hosts. After we said our good-byes, we went to pack up our rigs to head home…looking forward to our next exciting campout, which will be a state meeting at the Tropical Palms, in Orlando, Florida.
