December 2005 Outing

Our Chapter meeting was held December 16-18th, 2005 at Sun Lake RV Resort -  Ruskin, Florida

We had a turn out of 28 coaches that attended this weekend for our annual Christmas Party hosted by the years-outgoing officers. Members attending were Blakeney, Davis, Franzen, Gest, Harrison, Haynes, Horwath, Johnson, Maenner, Millard, Peterson, Porter, Schmittzeh, Tuzzolo, and Wood (J). The weather tried to co-operate but we did have a few showers and cool evenings.

Some members arrived early on Thursday, anxious to start the fun filled weekend at Sun Lake RV Resort. Friday afternoon we all gathered for a social hour where we shared snacks and stories of our happenings since we last met. Dinner was on our own 

Saturday started with a hearty breakfast at Buddy Freddie’s restaurant that was conveniently close to the campground.  We enjoyed a very plentiful buffet and how delicious it all was.  After the breakfast some ladies went shopping for sales at the local stores in the area.  We had our chapter meeting at 10.00 am where the 2006 officers were sworn in. They are as follows.

Treasurer: Carolyn Porter

2^nd Vice President: Butch Davis

1^st Vice President: Dick McKay

President: Terry Busch

Later in the afternoon the officers our chapter put on a social hour and then followed a delicious dinner.  After dinner we held our annual Christmas Party where Carolyn Porter led us in singing our favorite Christmas carols and then a Christmas Gift swap where we opened gifts and if we desired to exchange them for another’s gift we could… fun was had by all.

Sunday morning after a Continental breakfast we said our good-byes looking forward to the next time we meet.
