Suncoast Winnie-Gators Our Chapter meeting was held February 20-22nd, 2004 at Blueberry Hill Resort in Bushnell, Florida We had a turn out of 25 coaches from our Suncoast Winnie-Gators chapter attend this weekend. The weather couldn’t have been more perfect with warm sunny days and cool evenings Some members arrived early on Wednesday and Thursday, anxious to start the fun filled weekend at Blueberry Hill Resort. On Friday afternoon we all gathered for a social hour where we shared snacks and stories of our happenings since we last met. It was a good get together. Our hosts for the weekend, Bud & Alice Swetland and Jarvis & Joyce Wood, served us an excellent dinner, which consisted of pulled pork sandwiches, potato salad, cole slaw and a sherbet for dessert. Saturday started with a hearty breakfast served by our hosts, Biscuits & Gravy, and Juice. How yummy it all was. After the breakfast we had our chapter meeting. We welcomed our newest members Dick & Sally McKay, Don & Donna Gaula and Russ & Sharon Millard, also our guest Jerry & Diane June. Directly after our meeting member Linda Tuzzolo gave a mini seminar on preparing our Income Taxes. Then the day was filled with all kind of fun activities…. Blue berry Hill has so much to offer Rver’s. A huge swimming pool, horseshoes, shuffleboard, poolroom, library, a large hall for activities and many other amenities. A Wal-Mart right across the street kept many of our ladies happily shopping for hours. Donna Haynes taught a craft class to us in the afternoon where we made Easter cards. Later that afternoon we had a social hour, where people decided which restaurants they would go to that evening. Our host for the weekend had done some scouting and found several good restaurants in the area to go to. Some stayed behind and cooked out. There was a heated game of beanbag baseball later that evening. It was an exciting game between the men & women, which the men won by a landslide. (Congratulations to the men) On Sunday there was a Continental breakfast of homemade muffins, fruit cup, juice & coffee served by our hosts. After we said our good-byes, we went to pack up our rigs to head home…looking forward to our next exciting campout, which will be at the Florida State Rally in Orlando Submitted by: Contact: President - Pete Schmittzeh
