Florida Suncoast Winnie-Gators There were 36 coaches from the Florida State chapters
in attendance. We had a great
turn out of 11 coaches from our Suncoast Winnie-Gators chapter. As usual many of us arrived early on Thursday,
anxious to start our fun filled weekend at the Southern Palms RV Resort.
That night we had a pot luck dinner and there were many delicious
dishes brought to share. After dinner there was a fun game of Family Fued… It was
good getting together and visiting with each other…. Friday was pretty much a free day to enjoy all the
amenities at the park had to offer and the local area.
Our usual Happy Hour was at 4 where many delicious snacks were
brought by chapter members to share. That evening we had a catered dinner.
After dinner some of us gathered for cards/games at the recreation
hall. Saturday started with breakfast served by Rainbow
Catering Service who provided all the meals for the weekend. After the breakfast we had a general meeting for the state.
Later some of the men enjoyed playing horseshoes and also there was a
rousing game of beanbag baseball later in the afternoon.
Some members went out to explore the surrounding areas while others
went to a small flea market just down the road.
We had happy hour around 3:30 and later that evening once again we
enjoyed another good meal. After
dinner we had a pool party
which many enjoyed. On Sunday there was a Continental breakfast of
muffins, juice & coffee served by our hosts.
After a full weekend of good food, fun and fellowship we said our
good-byes and packed up our rigs to head home…looking forward to our
