Florida Sunshine Winnies Campout Report June 2008 Chapter President is Bob Garvin 407-671-6636 By Bruce Cinader Secretary Eight coaches participated in our rally with most arriving on Thursday June 5, 2008 at the Rally Park at Lazy Days in Seffner, Florida. The group consisted of the Bock’s, Cinader’s, Collin’s, Dzwonkowski’s Fumia’s Janowich’s and Underwood’s. We also had guests Joe and Ann Loundenslager from the Buccaneers, join us. All were set up early and had time to socialize and have time for shopping and lunch at Lazy Days, before our happy hour at 3:00PM. Our hosts were Ed and Janice Underwood. The Underwood’s prepared our Kielbasa and Polish noodle dinner with salad and rolls. We were finished by 7:00PM and had time for chatting and socializing after the delicious dinner. Friday morning at 8:00AM we all enjoyed a breakfast again at Lazy Days. After breakfast some of us took advantage of the free motor home driving class and got to drive the nice new motor homes around the park.
Still others decided to support the local Seminole Hard Rock Casino.
At 3:00PM we started our happy hour and gathered at the pool to chat and share snacks.
Our dinner at 6:00 PM was Chili over spaghetti noodles with Cuban bread and a variety of desserts and a salad. After dinner we had six games of bingo. We all had lots of laughs and enjoyed the games. After the bingo games we played cards and the nickel game late into the night.
Saturday we again had a breakfast again at Lazy Days. Most of us went to the local flea market and came back in time for lunch again at Lazy Days. Swimming was on the agenda for some of us while others enjoyed the park. Happy hour was enjoyed at pool side by the entire group with lots of snacks to share, from about 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM. We had our business meeting at 5:00 PM. Dinner was at 6:20 PM with a Corn Beef and Cabbage dinner with potatoes and corn on the cob with rolls and salad, being prepared by our hosts, the Underwood’s again. Desserts were brought by the members and enjoyed by all. After dinner we gathered in the hall and played cards and the nickel game. Sunday was time for our final meal, and we had a sausage and biscuit breakfast prepared by our un-official chef, Jack Collins, with a variety of left over sweets to enjoy. We then all took our time breaking camp and enjoying the beautiful weather before heading for home.
