Florida Sunshine Winnies The Florida Sunshine Winnies gathered at Blueberry Hill RV Resort, Bushnell, Florida for their February meeting. Some arrived on Thursday, but most of the 14 coaches arrived on Friday the 13th. Attendees consisted of 22 members and 5 guests. The social activities began in earnest with happy hour refreshments and finger nibbles. This set the mood for the evening meal at a local Sonny’s Bar-B-Q restaurant. Even though the place was at near capacity; our group was seated together and given great service. Returning to the clubhouse several card games started with good participation which lasted till bedtime. Saturday morning a delicious breakfast meal of egg-sausage casserole, hot biscuits, fruit, juice and coffee were served in the clubhouse by host Bert and Mary Alice Fay. Saturday afternoon was devoted to sight seeing the points of interest in the area. A Super Wal-Mart located across the street from the RV Park made it convenient shopping for those last minute Valentine gifts. The outdoor games and happy hour were canceled due to rain. The Saturday night dinner was served by the camp management and consisted of fried fish with all the trimmings for a reasonable $6.00 per person. Eastern Area WIT Representatives John and Marlin Fischer joined us for dinner. After dinner entertainment was provided by Norm Ellis playing and singing music from the 50’s and 60’s, very suitable for dancing on Valentine’s Day. Our guest Jim and Gail Burton celebrated their 9th wedding anniversary with the serving of cake and ice cream. They decided to join our club, we are glad to have them. Sunday morning a continental breakfast was served by the hosts. Also Jean Wall decided to join our club. After breakfast we said our goodbyes and headed home. Tom Tuttle Phone 386 325-4664
