Florida Sunshine Winnies

Campout Report January 2008

By Bruce Cinader Secretary

Six of the seven coaches arrived Thursday January 17th at the Pacetti RV Park and Marina in St. Augustine, Fl., and was joined by Bruce and Vangie Cinader on Friday early morning. The coaches in attendance were the Cinader’s, Collins’s, Garvin’s, Janowich’s, Pierce’s with a guest, daughter Rebecca, Schultz’s, and the Stewart’s.

Friday morning all the girls all got together by 9:00AM and went shopping until our happy hour at 4:00 PM. Some of the guys went on a Wall Mart run led by the professional Wall Mark shopper, Jack Collins.

After our 4:00 PM happy hour we carpooled to a nice dinner only 12 miles away at the Corky Bell’s Seafood restaurant. We all enjoyed a great dinner and had excellent service. Returning after a great dinner we headed back to the coaches and watched movies and relaxed and called it an early night, except for Laddilou, staying up most of the night waiting for her escaped cat to return; glad it finally came back at 3:30AM so she could get a little sleep before our breakfast.

Saturday morning started early with the Collins and Cinader team preparing waffles and eggs and sausage and grits with juice and milk for everyone, for the 8:00AM breakfast.

Our meeting followed breakfast at 9:30AM and we welcomed new members Stuart and Laddilou Pierce to our group, and the new officers were sworn in.

After or great breakfast and meeting, some of the guys and girls again carpooled to the shopping centers and area attractions. Everyone returned in time for our happy hour again where we shared snacks and laughs. Our group dinner at the campground pavilion was about 6:00PM where everyone brought a dish to pass and the main course was beef and pork, cooked by our host Jack and Peggy Collins.

After dinner and a quick clean up the guys got together for some nickel poker and the girls also got together for some game they called the nickel game. Everyone had a good time.

We got up Sunday to a bright sunny day and had some more time together in the pavilion to have a quick breakfast and say our goodbyes.
