FLORIDA SUNSHINE WINNIES
November outing
BY BERNICE JOHNSON

The November 14-16th meeting was held at Ocala Ranch RV Park, Ocala, Fl. and all agreed the campground was very restful. We were pleased that the kitchen was fully equipped and great to work in. Clarence and Pat Buchanan and Roy and Bernice Johnson were hosts. They arrived on Thursday along with Collins, Tuttles, Sorensens, Phelps Browns, and Revades. The afternoon was spent socializing and games in the evening.

On Friday, the McCuens, Mcconnells, and the Fays came in. The women against the men played a game of bean bag baseball. Which was followed by happy hour in the Rec Hall. Everyone enjoyed the delicious homemade vegetable beef soup and brownies which Pat and Clarence provided for all members.
Since Roy and Bernice are early risers were in the kitchen making coffee and biscuits, sausage gravy, and grits.
As members came in they placed their order for fried eggs. Pat and Clarence were a great help.

After our business meeting, some of the men went out for golf which was close by.  The women worked on strawberries for the state.  Joan Revade held a class on putting Christmas fabric on glass plates.   It was the ladies nite out for dinner so we were treated to Sonny's Real Pit Bar-B-Q. Yes, they had room for all of us and also they will do catering.  WIT member Roy and Martha Bedford from Michigan came into the park and they joined us in the evening to hear a very talented piano player from Russia. Oksana is a Junior
and hosted by Bert and Mary Alice Fay. Her classical piano compositions was appreciated by all.

Sunday morning we finished up the biscuits and gray in addition to having sweet rolls. We all enjoyed the weekend, especially being entertained by very pleasant Oksana. Hearing about their ways of
living in Russia. See you at our next campout.
