Eight coaches from the Florida Sunshine Winnies participated in our rally with 6 arriving on, Thursday October 16th, 2008 at the Sun N Fun RV Resort in Sarasota, Florida. Five of us went to the trouble of meeting each other down the road so we could drive in and park together, as this is what we were told we needed to do, to be parked together. This did not happen, as we were already pre-assigned spots at what appeared to be a totally random fashion, and our group was well scattered. We were later joined by the rest of the group on Friday. The group consisted of the Bock’s, Bruce Cinader, the Collin’s, Dunn’s, Janowich’s, Pierce’s, Schultz’s and the Underwood’s. We had lunch on our own on Thursday, and met for the planned social hour at 4:00 pm. Dinner that night was again on our own.

Friday morning we all awoke to have breakfast on our own. The various meetings were held in the morning including our local club membership meeting. Lunch was again on our own. Some of the ladies took time to learn new crafts while some of the men went out to shop for some bargains. There was an ice cream social at 1:30 PM, and we had a happy hour at 4:00 pm and a catered dinner at 6:00 pm. Bingo was offered at 7:30 pm for those that wanted to play.

Saturday we had a catered breakfast at 8:30 am we held our club meeting after breakfast at 9:15 am, and had the general membership meeting at 10:00 am. A lot of time to view the motor homes was provided, until the catered dinner at 6:00 pm. One of our members took advantage of that time to haggle a good deal on a new class A motor home. Congratulations to Al and Fran Schultz on their new Vista 30B. The evening was used by many for a gathering of card games, on our last night together.

Sunday we had a quick continental breakfast and left the campground after we all said our last good byes to each other, until our next campout.
