| Florida Sunshine Winnies Campout Report September 2008 Chapter President is Bob Garvin 407-671-6636 By Bruce Cinader Secretary Eight coaches from the Florida Sunshine Winnies participated in our rally with all arriving on, Thursday September 4, 2008 at the Southern Palms RV Resort in Eustis, Florida. The group consisted of the Anglin’s, Bock’s, Cinader’s, Collin’s, Dunn’s, Garvin’s Schultz’s and the, Underwood’s. We also had guests attending our friendship rally; they included Dean and Sharon Newkirk, Mike and Claubt Valentine, Dave and Sandra Parke, Tommy and Joane Sanders, and Tiny and Mary Saltmarsh the president of the local chapter of FMCA. We also had Bill and Barbra Stuart and Joyce, daughter of John Sorenson, stopped by to visit for part of the campout but did not bring a coach. Our hosts were Richard and Kathleen Bock. All were set up early and had time to socialize, and have time for lunch on our own. For dinner we all went out to our favorite local restaurants. After dinner we met up at the campground and played card and dice games. Friday morning we all awoke to have breakfast on our own. Lunch time was a cold box lunch put together by our hosts. For dinner we all drove to the Friday Street Fest in Eustis, and ate the vendors food as we looked around. We played card and dice games again after dinner after meeting up again at the campground. Saturday morning our hosts prepared an “egg in hash” breakfast, with croissants and fruit salad. We held our business meeting at 9:53 AM, after our breakfast. Lunch was on our own. We were on our own till dinner time and most of us left to look at the local stores and cruse the local area. Our activities also included crafts, karaoke and working together to put together a puzzle, playing cards, and playing some pool, at the activity hall. We had our dinner just before 8:00 PM. Our hosts had prepared an authentic German styled dinner. Our 50/50 raffle was held and won by Ralph Anglin. We again played card games after dinner. Sunday we had a quick continental breakfast and left the campground after we all said our last good byes to each other, until our next campout.
