March campout took us to Orlando and the Winnie Gators State Rally.  Most TCT members have attended this rally many times; however we did have a couple of first timers.  The Winnie Gators assigned each chapter responsibilities that they were responsible for during the rally.  This included the parking, meals and entertainment.  This event requires many hours of preparation to run smoothly - AND IT DOES!  Thanks Winnie Gators!

When we all arrived everyone gathered in the field before entering the rally so that we could be parked together.  Thanks to Bill Kraftchak for coordinating our parking.  After setting up we met for a quick attitude adjustment and then off to Red Lobster for our one night on the town.  As usual we all enjoyed having a great dinner out.

The Rally schedule kept everyone pretty busy.  There were many seminars that were attractive to the guys and gals.  If you didn’t have seminars on your mind then visiting the various vendors to see what’s new for our RV’s filled any spare time.  The Winnie Gators saw to it that you were never bored.  There were also many planned activities that we could participate in.  Many of us played the games giving it our best trying to come out a winner but didn’t quite make the cut off.   Next year!

Some of the events gave WIT members a chance to show off their talents by entering their items to be judged for creativity, talent and skill.  TCT members Ann & George Metz can be especially proud of their hard work and Ann’s talent this year.  Ann entered one of her newest creations, a beautiful gold bracelet, in the craft competition and received a “Blue Ribbon” for her talents.  Ann is extremely talented and to her credit shares her talent teaching wire craft jewelry in Florida and Georgia several weeks in the summer and winter months.  Congratulation Ann!

The weather didn’t cooperate with the event this year.   Rain sent a couple of campers home early.  Wading in water just to leave your RV was not fun, especially if you had an animal.  Ugh!  Doggie potty breaks were really inconvenient.

We found time for happy hour each day and play a few games of washer toss.  It was great to spend time with all of our friends from around the state.  We enjoyed touring the new RVs brought to the rally from several dealers.  As usual the Winnebago factory team was there and helped so many of us with our rigs.

Have a fun filled summer break and travel safe.  See ya in the fall.
