Manatee Hammock
December 2006 Titusville, Florida What a beautiful park!
This is one of central Florida’s more beautiful campgrounds which
will be put on my must-return-to list.
When I saw the brochure I said to myself nothing can be this
beautiful, but much to my pleasure it was.
I love the hammocks with the hanging moss and leaves dropping all
over. The sites are spacious
and well designed for big rigs. The
roads provide great walking trails throughout the park and access to the
beautiful Indian River view which is enhanced by the 197 foot fishing
pier. They also have all the
accommodations; recreation hall, laundry facilities, outdoor games
including (shuffleboard, horseshoes) and a swimming pool all of which are
available to the campers. Close by is the shuttle launch at the Kennedy
Space Center and loads of great restaurants and shopping.
A must visit in my opinion! You
can not get bored here! TCT members Ann & George
Metz, Barbara & Ralph Wilson and Gail & Billy Barnes enjoyed a
beautiful Christmas dinner at Dixie Crossroads. The food was wonderful and
the service was outstanding. Again
it has proven itself that TCT’s decision to travel during the week days
provides a much nicer experience over all.
Back at the campsites, Ann
treated the group with her homemade chocolate covered peanut butter balls.
Yummy! We played games
on computers and visited sharing all of our plans for the upcoming year.
We are going to be busy. Once again Billy and Ralph
launched their boats in an attempt to provide us a dinner of fresh-caught
fish. The Indian River
is known for great fishing but Ralph, Billy and Ann could only catch small
trout and redfish. We learned
long ago to have a pre selected restaurant! TCT members enjoyed another
great year together and we look forward to another one in 2007.
We want to thank our sponsor’s manager Andy Barker and sponsor
Al’s Motor Home and Trailer Sales, Inc. for their continued support.
TCT encourages anyone visiting Ft. Pierce area to take advantage of
a great staff and management at Al’s Motor Home for all their RV needs.
