Treasure Coast Travelers
February Outing

This month TCT made its first trip to the west coast and camped at Lazy Days Rally Park near Tampa.  Some arrived on Thursday to enjoy an extra day in the sun.  We traveled a little further away from our home-base but we had the highest attendance ever with nine rigs attending – Ann & George Metz, Barbara & Ralph Wilson, Fran & Frank Daidone, Gail & Billy Barnes, Betty & Dempsey King, Odete & Art Hayes, Ken Vianest & Marianne Borouch, Kathy &  Bub Irwin and Darlene & Ken Collette.

Friday the remainder of the group arrived.  After set-up we gathered around the Hayes’ campsite for a relaxing cocktail and a quick game of “wholly board.”  Happy hour turned in to happy two-hours. Later everyone met at the clubhouse and played “Chase the Ace.”

Saturday was spent exploring the facilities at the Rally Park, spending money at Camper World, flying kites and just plain old relaxing in the sun. There are many very nice amenities at the Rally Park including a beautiful clubhouse and a fabulous pool.  The clubhouse has a kitchen that was made available to us for our food preparation and clean-up. Lazy Days periodically hosts large rallies and I have heard they are quite spectacular.  Maybe this will be something we can consider for our next trip to Tampa.

We challenged the cooks to come up with good food Polish style.  Did we let you down?  The food was great.  The theme dinners are proving to be a lot of fun.  Is it because we don’t know what they should taste like or because we are just plain GREAT COOKS – I think the later.  Good job cooks!!!

Before the card game got started we had a 50/50  drawing.  The winners were Ann & George Metz.  Congrats!

Sunday morning we met at the Hayes’ campsite for our goodbye breakfast and to wish everyone happy and safe travels.
