Treasure Coast Travelers kicked off the 2007/08
camping season with a 26-29 November meeting at Ocala Ranch RV Park. We heard good things about this park from
several central
This
campout was delayed from October
to November as many of our snowbird members had a difficult time leaving the
warmer than usual weather in the north east.
We were all happy to see their safe return and are looking forward to a
fun campout season.
On
the evening of our arrival, we all headed to a local Outback and had a great
meal together. Thanks to Ann Metz (our
birthday girl) we had an excuse for topping off the meal with Outback’s
signature desert “Sinful Sundae.” Like
we really needed this!
Meals
seem to be our strong point. Thanks go to
Gail and those that assisted for cooking the main course for the two
nights. Thanks also to the Griswolds and
Kraftchacks for the Tuesday morning breakfast.
Everyone kicked in with sides and we ate well.
We
spent our days shopping at several nearby stores and evenings competing for the
traveling “Washer Toss” trophy. Now this
is some serious competition! The guys
managed to pull off the first win of the season after practicing, practicing
and more practicing. The gals really had
them worried, obviously. Congrats guys
but the gals will get ya next time.
We were glad to have Steve & Diane Rice from Sebastian
join us for this campout
and
welcome them as new members to Treasure Coast Travelers. Members attending were Ralph & Barbara
Wilson; Billy & Gail Barnes; George & Ann Metz; Bill & Joan
Kraftchak; Norman & Annice Griswold and Lynn & Darlene Hyndman. We are looking forward to having absent
members Joanne Stocking return from

Thanks
to Ann Metz for having great patience while trying to teach all the gals how to
make a pair of - what was described to be - “simple” earrings. Now I thought I was kind of crafty but I soon
found out that I have a long way to go.
Ann’s talent is a gift to our group.
Her patience was truly appreciated and we hope she will give us another
try. Thanks Ann!
While
working on our earrings, we discussed our project that TCT will provide to the
Winnie-Gators State Rally in March. We
will make and complete 35-40 goodie bag crafts.
Joan Kraftchak and Ann Metz will purchase the materials for these
projects and we will start work on them at our next meeting.

NOVEMBER is
election month for TCT! 2008 Officers are:
